Classes

Below are the different dance and fitness classes that are offered at The Midnight Garden Aerial Lounge.

This is our welcoming and most beginner class! It's for the people who have never tried pole, or who have a few classes under their belts. We go over fundamental grips and spins. No climbing, no inverting!

Beginner Pole Dance

This class is a step up from beginner pole dance - less about spins and flowing, more about holding yourself in certain positions, aka "tricks". In our time here we do more strength conditioning, and we focus on one move over a few weeks time. We do start to learn how to climb in this class, but not quite inverting yet (unless everybody is ready).

Beginner Pole Tricks

During low flow, we work on smoothing out our movements from one spin to the next, and from getting to standing, to the floor, and back up. This is a great class to feel sexy and sensual, and to break out your heels! There is no climbing or inverting in most of these classes.

Low Flow

This class is best for somebody that has multiple classes under their belt. Here we take a step up from our fundamental spins and we start to add more to each movement. We work on "chunking" multiple moves together, and we are utilizing climbing in a majority of our moves. This is also where we start to work on inverting. Heels are welcomed in this class!

Pole Dance

This is an high-beginner/low-intermediate level class. To be at this level, you should be able to climb 2-3 times up the pole, and you should be able to invert. We continue to focus on strength and conditioning, and we explore different grips. The tricks that we learn at this level consistent of things like scorpio (outside leg hang) and gemini (inside leg hang).

Pole Tricks

This is open studio time! An instructor will be there, but there is no formal teaching/class-time. This is YOUR time to work on spins. low flow, tricks, etc at your own discretion. It's a great time to work on smoothing out transitions and perfecting moves.

Open Pole

This class focuses on increasing our cardio stamina. The pole is used as far as practicing climbing and tucks, but mostly this class is off the pole, utilizing high-energy movements to get our heart rate up.

Cardio Class

This class is a full-body workout. If you want to get stronger to reach your aerial goals, this is the class for you! It'll push your body with a high rep count, focusing on your entire core (meaning your abs and your back), your stabilizing muscles, and your lower body. This class is tough but so worth it!
